October 28 is National Chocolate Day (also just in time for Halloween)! Chocolate is made from the seed of the cocoa trees; it is one of the best sources of antioxidants on the planet. The United States is the #1 supplier of chocolate to Taiwan. U.S. chocolate icons M&M’s and Hershey’s Kiss ranked as the #1 and #2 top candies of all time. Taiwan also produces award-winning chocolates. In 2017, Taiwan won its first gold medal at the International Chocolate Awards. The Tie Guan Yin tea-flavored dark chocolate by Fu Wan Chocolate, Taiwan’s unique tree-to-bar chocolate, was a favorite among the judges.
